About Swift Accountancy

Swift Accountancy was founded in 2020 by Adam Clegg. Adam started work as an accountant aged 19 and studied to gain Chartered Certified status while working full time, gaining both experience and qualifications at the same time. He even gained a degree in Accountancy for good measure. Adam worked for a number of medium to large sized firms, which allowed him to experience a variety of working practices and systems, as well as work on the accounts for a broad range of businesses. Acquiring Fellowship status in 2020 inspired Adam to begin a new practice, one in which he could develop his own systems of practice based on his personal experience of what worked for his clients.

Swift Accountancy began with a drive to make things easier and simpler for business owners, to take the confusion out of legalities and tax and to really be able to support clients however we can. To get an idea of how we’ve helped our clients’ businesses to grow, you can read our case studies here.

Why does it matter that your accountant is Chartered Certified?

Anyone can call themselves an accountant, but being a Chartered Certified Accountant means that you are fully qualified and registered with one of the select few Accountancy bodies to receive a Royal Charter (in our case with ACCA).

In order to qualify, there are 14 units to study and 14 exams to pass, involving a lot of big, heavy books that have to be read. Once qualified, a Chartered Certified Accountant must also complete extra learning every year, to make sure they remain up to date with all the rules and regulations. Ultimately, all that study makes for a lot of knowledge, and membership guarantees a high standard of expertise and professionalism.
